Grab an Official Look at the Union LA x Air Jordan 2 "Rattan" & "Grey Fog"

It feels like it’s been a while since we got a first glance at the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 2 colourways, but now the official images of both the “Rattan” and “Grey Fog” are finally here. Continuing the recent run of Union LA and Nike collabs, these pairs are some of the most premium yet, so let’s take a look at what to expect ahead of their impending release.

Building on the Air Jordan 2’s revival, the Union LA x AJ2 pairs are a super-clean take on the retro silhouette. Constructed from hardwearing nylon and soft suede, the Union LA x Air Jordan 2 ditches the silhouette’s usual all-leather construction for something a little more interesting. Therefore, nylon panels make up toe box and ankle collars, whilst tonal suede dresses the shoe’s overlays. Underneath this, a hint of copper peeks out on the “Rattan” colourway, whilst the “Grey Fog” pair sees a peep of blue.

Both pairs sport added detailing across the uppers, including embroidered circles on the nylon collars, and added perforations on the suede overlays which add extra texture. Union LA branding then decorates the Union x Air Jordan 2s in the form of a cobranded tongue tab and tacked-on ankle tab, as well as UN/LA tag that comes attached to the eyestays. A vintage-looking Nike Air midsole finishes off the design.

As of right now, the word on the street is that both the “Rattan” and “Grey Fog” Union LA x Air Jordan 2 pairs are set to release later this month.
