Greyed-out shoes are in at Yeezy this year, with a new “Onyx” Foam Runner and now the Yeezy 450 "Cinder" both being previewed within the past couple of days. Interestingly, the two shapes struggled to find their footing amongst sneakerheads when they first released, but both seem to be a firm focus for the adidas subsidiary in 2022, with a couple of colourways lined up for the months ahead.
The 450 in particular has started the year particularly strong, with “Gradient” and “Sulfur” versions sitting alongside this newest “Cinder” iteration, and we're about to tell you how you can get your hands on a pair.
For this pair, the team at Yeezy have ditched the gradient effect seen on the recent, brown-toned sample, and taken the 450 back to its roots as a monotone shoe. The “Cinder” 450, therefore, sees itself draped in an all-grey makeup, with stormy tones taking over the entirety of the sneaker from the Primeknit upper to the jagged EVA midsole. The 450 midsole does forego the adidas Boost cushioning, but the EVA construction allows it to match the comfort levels of the iconic Yeezy Slide, so be rest assured that you’re still in for a comfy ride. Elsewhere, tonal laces and a matching grey insole add extra depth to the design.
The Yeezy 450 Cinder is set to drop in family sizes at adidas CONFIRMED on March 24th. The queue release will start nice and early at 7am, so make sure you have that coffee ready for the early start!
Up next, three Yeezy Boost 350s could be dropping soon.
