Earlier this year, we revealed that the iconic Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Midnight Navy" was returning. A sneaker that made its grand debut back in 2001, it was released under Jordan Brand's Japan-exclusive CO.JP line. Now, after almost two decades, it's finally getting a global release, and here's when you can cop!
Coming back in its original form, the "Midnight Navy" works on a premium pebbled leather base while buttery smooth suede panels feature throughout for a luxurious look. A shimmering silver Nike Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial side panels, and this is complemented with a shiny metal Jumpman hangtag.
Rumour has it that this Air Jordan 1 was meant to drop to celebrate the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Obviously this didn't happen this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so the Beaverton brand has had to do a bit of reshuffling.
If the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG "Japan Midnight Navy" is a bit of you, mark your calendars, as it's scheduled to re-release on November 14th! Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair, and in related news, it looks like a Supreme x Air Jordan 1 "Stars" could be in the works!
