King of the pleat HOMEE PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE is back for FW22 and ready to showcase its latest offerings. This new collection entitled "A WORK OF ARC" displays a scope of sculptured silhouettes enhanced by a diverse range of colours and tents.
"A WORK OF ARC" is oddly inspired by the form of tents, so within the collection, you will notice distinctive creases, folds and focal points. Announcing the collection on Instagram, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE noted "The way it engages in making folds and creases like drawing arcs on a pleated canvas gives rise to a new exploration of three-dimensional forms."
Standing out amongst the rest, we see the LANTERN series. These draped three-dimensional styles showcase an effect similar to what you would see if a lantern was shining inside a tent. These pieces come dressed in turquoise, rust, grey, muted yellow and black tones across select silhouettes.
As it stands, there is no set release date, but we are expecting the full collection to land in-stores and online within a few months. For more on the collection, check out the 5-minute video below! In other news, Arsenal x TFL x adidas join forces for a pre-match collection with history.
