Here at The Sole Supplier, we looked back over the years at our favourite iterations of the world-famous Nike Air Max 90, thought about how they fit after a full day of wearing them and exactly what size we go for when finding the perfect fit. FIT: The Nike Air Max 90 runs true to size, so order your usual size. However, they are a bit on the narrow side so if you have a wide foot we recommend going half a size up to ensure maximum comfort.

COMFORT: They are super comfortable, you can wear them on city breaks with no problems.

CARE: Very easy to wipe clean and keep looking box fresh, but we are actually quite fond of the grubby look as it gives them a retro vibe.

SIZING: The Nike Air Max 90 come in unisex sizing. The women’s fit true to size, as do the men’s.

They fit true to size! I’ve never had to cop up or down in size. They take a hot minute to break in but once you do it’s all worth it.

Compared to the Yeezy Boost 350, the Nike Air Max 90 fit bigger. You have to usually go a whole size up in Yeezys as they run small, but the Nike AM90 fit TTS.

I’m a fan of the new Air Max 90 Terrascape! They’re super clean and I love the pop of colour from the panels on the upper.

Jeans. Jeans. Jeans! For me, they’re too sporty to wear with joggers, it’s a bit too casj for my style.

I don’t mind my sneakers getting a bit scuffed up to be fair so I don’t really clean mine. If they get embarrassingly dirty then I’ll just give them a wipe with a damp cloth.

Soooooo comfortable! Once you break them in, you can wear them all weekend on a city break and be completely fine.

Nike Air Max 90s fit true to size in my opinion. Sticking TTS means that your foot won’t slide around and they will remain comfortable throughout the day. I do however feel they sometimes fit narrow, but this isn’t uncomfortable and going up 0.5 a size would mean they would be too long.

As a less chunky sneaker, I feel the Air Max 90 go better with jeans rather than joggers.

Prior to wearing, I’ll give them a coating of a specialist protective spray and then if there are any bits of dirt after wear, I’ll just use a wipe. I do however find the upper pretty difficult to clean, so it’s prevention is key when it comes to Air Max 90s!

Not the most comfortable style for me. They do fit slightly narrow but going up a size would make them too long – Additionally, the sole doesn’t provide as much “bounce” compared to some other Nike silhouettes.

They fit true to size and are incredibly comfortable. With the air cushioning to the heel and breathable mesh upper, the Air Max 90 is the perfect summer crep in my humble opinion.

Compared to your classic Air Max 1, the Air Max 90 fits exactly the same. I never differ from my usual size in either of these trainers.

Many people will go for pairs like the Warhawk and Dizzee Rascal “Tongue N Cheek” but there are a lot of great new pairs coming out. The AM90 Premium Off-Noir Black is a great example!

Normally, I’m a combat kinda guy but for me, the Nike Air Max 90 is so ingrained in the street culture that cuffed grey joggers are my go-to. Then in the summer, a pair of tube socks and light-wash shorts are the one.

As always, I use specialist cleaning products for the bigger, more worn-in stains and then just a wipe on the midsole.

They are incredibly comfortable. They're a holiday shoe and I've worn them walking down the streets of Barcelona and New York and they have given me no issues whatsoever.

The Air Max 90’s for me fit slightly bigger, like an Air Force 1 although not quite as big. I could happily go a half size down on these to get a snug fit. They’re also super comfy with the padded collar and of course the iconic Max Air unit.

For me, the AM90 is more of an everyday, casual sneaker that goes with sweats in winter or with a pair of dungarees and a short-sleeved turtleneck for more of a Spring vibe. Just always make sure to match them up with a fresh white pair of Swoosh logo socks, of course.

I don't have a specific trick, but for me these look a little better when they’ve been worn out a bit and got that retro look like they’re supposed to.

Super comfy! An everyday essential I would say. You can switch them up and wear them in the gym too.

I really liked the BASEMENT x Nike Air Max 90. The lace unit was really unique and had the vibrant luminous details. I do love a triple-black colourway anyway but these were just a really fresh take on a classic.
