The Nike Air Max Muse deserves more love. Sure, it’s a statement sneaker, but that shouldn’t hold you back. For a lot of people, that category of shoe can be daunting, but it all depends on what statement you’re trying to make.

We got Farrell, a stylist with over six years’ experience, to show us how she’d style the Air Max Muse. With spring now in full swing, we picked the “Royal Pulse”, “Burgundy Croc” and “Chalk” options for this rotation. From centre stage to supporting role, these three outfits sure prove one thing, the Muse has range.

First up, we’re styling the “Royal Pulse” edition, definitely the most cool girl colourway out of the bunch. Here Farrell took some inspiration from popular stylist Veneda Carter, contrasting the slim bottom portion with a baggier top half of the outfit. Complementing the palette on the Air Max Muse, her strong use of neutrals provide a solid foundation, echoing the Swoosh colour with her orange bag and T-shirt combo. We had to make the nod to Carter’s aesthetic even more obvious with a digi-cam style mirror photo, leaving the flash on of course.

Next up is the “Burgundy Croc” pair, one of the darkest colourways available in the Air Max Muse line-up. Taking a unique approach to the burgundy trend, the crocodile textures on this pair adds another layer of depth that you can choose to play into. Deciding to focus on the warm tones of the Muse, Farrell introduces a soft yellow via her stripey top, a colour she notes as a personal favourite. Keeping to the relaxed energy up top, the light brown three quarter length shorts continue that feel, adding in a pocket belt to help blend together the midsection.

Finally there’s the “Chalk” Air Max Muse, with Farrell playing on the lighter notes with this everyday go-to. Pulling from hues found on the shoe’s upper, she centred the outfit around the denim skirt, playing into the Muse’s palette with a satin bomber jacket and cropped T-shirt. The pink hat on top echoes the footwear below, sandwiching the full fit together. Given the lighter tones here, fading into spring’s warm and sunny backdrop is an easy task.
