In Detail: The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Satin Bred" Reissue

Article updated 08/09/23: As the "Satin Bred" rerelease draws closer, Nike has now given us an official look at the silhouette. Sporting iconic black and red hues atop a crisp white outsole, this silhouette will no doubt be one of this year's most sought-after AJ1 pairs.

There is a downside, however. Just like the last release, it's looking like this shoe will only be dropping in women's sizes, so unless you're a 9.5 or below, you're likely going to miss out on this one again. Jordan Brand fans, you're going to want to pay attention to this one. After rumours first circulated at the start of the year, it seems like the coveted Air Jordan 1 High OG "Satin Bred" is finally getting its highly-anticipated reissue. As revealed by Instagram user @sneakertigger, we've now been treated to our first in-depth look at this renewed classic.

Known as one of the most limited Jordan releases of all time, the "Satin Bred" was previously only available in 501 individually-numbered pairs. It was launched in 2016 through a pop-up shop in NYC and has since become somewhat of a legend among AJ1 fans, with the occasional model popping up for obscene prices on the resale market.

The design inspiration behind the model allegedly comes from Michael Jordan’s “Flight Suit” warm-up outfit. "Bred" tints work together to provide a stealthy aesthetic, elevated by the satin uppers found atop the crisp white midsole. The Jordan Wings insignia can be found in its regular spot in a black tint also, backed up by a Nike Air imprint atop the tongue.
