For those not planning a trip to Madrid anytime soon, it could be worth booking a weekend break, if not to visit one of the most striking sneaker stores in Europe.
Recently opening its doors, Foot District unveil a modernistic space that blurs the line between the digital and real world. Forgot the stresses of conventional retail shopping, this is an experience guaranteed to leave you awe struck.
As you step inside this tranquil and other-worldy shop, it's the 3D printer located at the centre which instantly grabs attention. As a subtle nod to the future of footwear, it sets the tone for this contemporary space.
Despite the metallic hues and space-age vibe, Foot District have managed to pull off an urban landscape - post 25th-Century!
Ultra thin cement is complimented by a polished basketball fence which surrounds the entrance to a dedicated Jordan room.
That playful take on the city landscape matched with cutting-edge interior is complimented by a selection of curated videos. As you browse the Jumpman exclusives, watch game highlights and documentaries showcasing Michael Jordan's legacy.
A selection of 3D models showcases all 14 Jordans worn by the legend during his career - another nice touch for any devoted fan.
Pick-up one of these models and an interaction curved LED comes to life with an educational video on the legacy of the chosen shoe.
There are plenty of reasons to visit Madrid, but surely the opening of Foot District's inspired sneaker space puts this destination firmly of your wish list?!
