The Air Max 1 Low Poly has been making waves recently, especially after the All Star Weekend debut of the Air Max 1 “Donkey Kong”, a colorway inspired by the iconic Super Nintendo game.
Now, thanks to a sneak peek shared by Nike footwear designer Bryce Wong, it seems the next chapter in the “Low Poly” series could draw inspiration from another gaming legend; Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise.
Paying homage to Lara Croft’s signature green top and brown cargo shorts, this design carries the Web3 inspired pixelated aesthetic that defines the dotSWOOSH "Poly" series. The sneaker’s upper and Swoosh are adorned with an angular, digital pattern, while a neutral grey base transitions into a clean white toe box for contrast.
A rugged Canon Green mudguard adds a bold adventurous edge, perfectly embodying the spirit of the Tomb Raider universe. The design is finished with a gum brown outsole, grounding the modern look with a timeless touch.
Adding an element of mystery, the sneaker is rumoured to include a hidden Easter egg; an undisclosed detail that further ties it to the Tomb Raider legacy, keeping fans guessing about what surprises might be in store.
While Nike has yet to confirm an official release date, the Air Max 1 Low 'Poly' Tomb Raider is expected to hit shelves in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates as the adventure unfolds.
