Is The Gucci Apollo Sneaker The Taking The Chunky Sneaker Too Far?

Right, I'm just going to put it out there, the Gucci Apollo Sneaker looks like a fake Gucci trainer. The print on the sidewall screams fufu and the silhouette is so far apart from the clean aesthetic that the Italian fashion house usually goes for.

All this said, I still think the shoe is straight fire. Please don't judge me in the comments.

I love a chunky silhouette and the Gucci print is iconic (even if it does make the shoe look fake af). Then the off-white colourway let's the bold print do all the talking. What is there not to like.

Well the price for one. Currently available for pre-order at Barney's for $820. That's a serious amount of money for one pair of creps.
