As we were swiping through Simon Porte Jacquemus’s latest Instagram dump, we stumbled upon a sneaky pic of an upcoming release. The French designer, who has been working with Nike since 2022, gave us a teaser of the duo’s new Moon shoe.

Jacquemus’s first collaborative Moon only came out this autumn/winter with campaigns starring Nicholas Chavez and Solange, resurrecting Nike’s OG sneaker.

The Nike Moon was first introduced in 1972, used by the US Track and Field Olympic trials. Originals pairs have actually become one of the ultimate grails – one pair sold for £328k at auction in 2019. But, over the years the brand almost forgot about the Moon, until Jacquemus. Thanks to Jacquemus we can actually buy and wear the Moon silhouette, which has relaunched this year in a number of colourways.

The new Jacquemus Moon has a light blue and minty colour palette, featuring a mix of ostrich leather, fabric and suede on the upper. Sources on the internet confirm that the Jacquemus x Nike Moon is set to release in 2027 (hopefully with more colourways). We’ll keep you updated.

Jacquemus has been collaborating with Nike since 2022. His first collaboration featured a 15-piece collection, worn by Jorja Smith in the campaign. The capsule included minimalist tops, leggings, skirts, and more, as well as his own take on the Nike Humara. The designer also recently worked with Nike on a World Cup collection, representing the France national football team. The linkup featured the France pre-match jersey kit (which you can spot on the French players at the World Cup), and a reimagined Nike Cryoshot with the French flag colours.
