Jacquemus x Nike Moon Red

This Jacquemus x Nike Moon “Red” honours the legendary track coach and Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, whose waffle sole creation helped evolve running footwear. Hailing from 1972, this old-school silhouette paved the way for the development of the Waffle Trainer, which utilised a patented outsole design that gives runners exceptional traction on various surfaces. Reimagined through the French fashion house’s contemporary ethos, the Moon Shoe is back in orbit to upgrade your everyday wardrobe.

This rendition flaunts a vibrant red textile base with thin, deconstructed collars for a sock-like fit. Smooth suede bolsters the toe, serrated eyestays, and lateral forefoot, while the rear pull tabs and thick nylon laces maintain the structure. The perforations on the front section provide breathability to keep your feet sweat-free. The off-white leather Swoosh bolsters the quarter panel, complementing the additional brand labels adorning the tongue and insole. A thick slab of EVA foam rests on the heel for adequate cushioning and shock absorption. Nodding to the classic waffle sole, the round nubs on the classic gum rubber outsole ensure superior traction.
