Who would've ever thought that Crocs would be this hyped? Five years ago, if you were seen rocking the infamous slides you probably would've been laughed at, however, all the biggest names in fashion and culture are now collaborating with the Colorado-based footwear company for a wide range of projects. With summer coming just around the corner, Jeff Staple has gone on Instagram to tease the upcoming Staple x Crocs Classic Clog - and here's everything that we know so far!
While not much is known about Staples' take on the Classic Clog, the teaser shots clearly show a black, grey, and white foam construction that looks like it's made out of recycled materials. This gives the Clog a cement-like look which may be a nod to New York City's "Concrete Jungle" moniker.
In an interview with The Sole Supplier, Jeff himself stated that pigeons are the unofficial mascot of NYC. "All New Yorkers, in fact all urban dwellers, can relate to what a pigeon goes through. Their hustle, their survival skills and their ability to thrive through extremely tough conditions is inspiring to me." Images of the bird can be found on the hinge in a bold red hue.
Not much else is known about the Jeff Staple x Crocs Classic Clog "Pigeon" at this moment in time, though our sources tell us that they'll drop sometime in April, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop! Let us know what you think of this curious collaboration, and in related news, the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog "Crocodile" was recently unveiled!
