It seems like Virgil Abloh isn't slowing down any time soon. After expanding Off-White's empire into kidswear last week, the American designer has now held a spin-off show for Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 21 featuring none other than K-Pop supergroup BTS.
For the spin-off show, Art Bunker B39 (a creative space just outside of Seoul) has been reimaged with a selection of industrial-styled backdrops complete with a 20-meter tall structure to accompany the presentation.
The spin-off presentation displays 41 pieces from Fall / Winter 21 worn by BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook. The collection itself is made up of a variety of dressed-up outwear pieces with the mission to “redefine how our minds identify archetypical wardrobes which are tied to societal presumptions, the collection re-appropriates the normal through extreme elevation.”
Accompanying the collection a 10-minute short film in which aims to capture concepts of movement, speed and architecture complete with a musical score directed by Benji B with artists Net Gala, Kim Kate and Cifika.
