Kanye West Just Held the Weirdest Yeezy Fashion Show Ever

Ye is no stranger to making headlines at a fashion show, not least because his hate-speech-filled Yeezy Season 9 presentation pretty much became the beginning of the end of his career. After his contract with adidas was terminated shortly after the show, the troubled artist continued to push his vision forwards, concentrating his efforts on his own YZY brand.

Though Ye remained quiet for some time, the beginning of May marked his return to the fashion sphere. This time, the event was much more low-key - appearing to be more of a weird, cult-like ceremony than a traditional fashion event. Even the invite came by way of posts from Ye’s Instagram and Twitter stan pages, hardly the high-budget press releases of years gone by.

Towards the end of April, Ye had put out a casting call for models (shaved heads necessary), and the presentation itself ended up being made up of just that. These models took to the stage (if you can call a run-down-looking store a stage, that is) in plain white tees and black trousers, holding candles in a somewhat creepy fashion. Ye, after a brief intro, was apparently nowhere to be found - rumour has it he spent the duration of the presentation in a car with his wife.
