Kevin Durant Pays Tribute To Cancer Survivors With The Nike KD 11 "Aunt Pearl"

Basketball star Kevin Durant has dedicated his latest sneaker collaboration with Nike to a cause that is very close to his heart.

Following the loss of his beloved aunt to cancer, the Golden State Warriors Forward has continued to honour her with the creation of the eponymous KD "Aunt Pearl"; shoe.

The brand's Laser Fuchsia rendition however could just be Durant's most personal tribute yet, as the athlete has chosen to feature the names of 59 cancer survivors within the design.

Teaming up with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to raise money for the Breast Cancer Awareness movement, the charitable high-top trainer is painted in an all-over Think Pink inspired hue, with a tie dye element adding contrast on the midsole.

The most moving element of the silhouette stands out on the insoles and exterior heel counter, which are both stamped with a list of names of those who have battled the disease and won.
