Nike is renowned for its friendly and approachable status in the industry and the brand continues to push this image with the recently unveiled Nike Air Max 90 “Go The Extra Smile”. Unveiled earlier this week, it’s a premium take on the classic 1990 silhouette that’s already well-loved by sneakerheads across the globe.
The model takes on a bold yet wearable colourway that consists of yellow, black and white, while the AM90 panelling remains true to the OG to show off a retro-runner aesthetic that we all know and love. A red embroidered mini-Swoosh is located on the lateral toe of this release, a feature which has rarely been seen on the AM90 and also a touch that is beloved by many footwear fans.
Crafted from suede and synthetics, the uppers are refreshed with a white leather Swoosh logo on both sides, while other playful touches of branding include the smiley face logo that’s previously been seen as part of the “Have a Nike Day” campaign. Grey mesh tongues and matching laces complete the look along with branded insoles once again pushing the special-edition nature of this release. This all sits on top of a white midsole and gum outsole, with an Air Max unit encased within a yellow tape enclosure.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Go The Extra Smile” doesn’t yet have an official release date set, as supply chain issues continue to disrupt releases within the sneaker world. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier as we’ll keep you in the loop as soon as we have more information, and in the meantime browse the rest of our site and check out stories such as the unveiling of these brand new Dunk High 1985s!
