Following their link up with famed Japanese designer NIGO earlier this summer, Levi's are back and continuing to celebrate the art of denim craftsmanship through this latest Made in Japan capsule.
The full collection is made using some of the highest quality Japanese fabrics available and crafted to a 14oz selvedge denim at the Kaihara Denim Mill. The collection features the "502", "511", "512" models and trucker with each piece sporting a distinctly vintage texture due to production.
Though mostly plain in appearance, each piece sports subtle and stylish motifs such as the Levi's Made In Japan custom rear patch that features a rising sun motif. Elsewhere, we see the Hinomaru symbol (the national flag of Japan) on the inside of the collar of the jacket and the waist of the jeans.
Across the range, distressed details suggest a workwear-inspired flair. The collar of the jackets have been worn and frayed exposing a deeper navy coloured denim. Alongside this, the rear of the belt loops sports a signature Kaihara indigo selvedge denim. The full collection is available now on Levi's website and is simply a must cop for any serious denim fans or collectors. In other news, Mitchell & Ness x mastermind JAPAN collaborate for a selection of vintage sportswear inspired goods.
