HUMAN MADE'S NIGO is no stranger to collaboration, and after joining forces with Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton's LV2 collection early last month, the Japanese fashion designer is back with another link up with legendary denim originators Levi's.
In the campaign video and images, we see a past and present version of NIGO sat outside his Curry up restaurant chain. Past NIGO is dressed as a representation of who he was back then, with a matching Levi's set consisting of 501 jeans and a 1950s-style Type 2 Levi’s Trucker Jacket.
The jacket features distressed edges with worn patches around the sleeves and collar to produce an aged appearance. The 501 jeans are similar with light wear, repaired and bleached sections featured throughout. Both pieces appear in a light blue hue which is accentuated by the aforementioned worn detailing.
Being a denim fanatic and having a multi-million dollar collection, we can only imagine this passion project has been on NIGO's mind for some time now. The full collection is limited to 100 units of both the jacket and jeans, so make sure to head to the Levi's Japan website from the 9th to the 11th of July to sign up. In other news, Nike celebrates 75 years of Atletico Madrid history with this 2021/22 Home Kit.
