It's hard to believe it has been over two full months since we tragically lost Virgil Abloh, but as it stands, the team over at Louis Vuitton are doing a great job at ensuring his legacy lives on. After we saw the Fall-Winter 2022 collection grace the catwalk in a star-studded event, Louis Vuitton has now unveiled the Pre-Fall 2022 entitled "Daybreak".
Shot in Lyon, France, "Daybreak" showcases a diverse range of silhouettes set across an industrial backdrop. Throughout the collection, we see outerwear silhouettes, tailored suits and trousers, varsity-inspired sportswear pieces and leather bomber jackets, all of which arrive with Virgil's distinctive approach to design and production.
A distinctive theme seen throughout is the use of tailored trousers. For the most part, these pants sport an almost flare-like construction, creating free-flowing yet formed silhouettes. Elsewhere, we see the use of stripes featured prominently. Horizontal, angular and vertical stripe designs line a selection of garments, creating a contemporary finish.
The second edition of Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall 2022 collection will begin launching online and at Louis Vuitton stores from March 2022. In other news, NIGO's first KENZO collection sees a speedy release.
