Just two weeks ago, NIGO seemingly had the fashion world in a chokehold as the famed designer debuted his KENZO FW22 in Paris in front of a star-studded crowd. Now, it seems the Japanese designer is dead set on continuing on with his current momentum as he launches the first portion of his upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
Included within the first picks of this latest collection, we see a coach jacket, crewneck sweatshirts, jersey cardigan, cargo trousers and shirts, all of which arrive with a fresh NIGO take on graphical insignias.
Throughout these offerings, we see a distinctive focus on the Japanese boke flower - a flower that only blooms each year in February. This motif is made up of distinctive red and yellow hues and takes centre-stage across each garment. It also offers a subtle nod to Kenzo Takada’s love for floral patterns.
Many pieces within the collection don a white hue also. This is to represent the idea of new beginnings and coincidentally NIGO's reign as Artistic Director. The full Kenzo Spring/Summer 2022 capsule is currently available on the brand's website. In other news, Stussy release a selection of timeless pieces for spring 2022.
