With every season, comes a 'new' trend…but one trend we see year in year out – and can't get enough of – is animal print. Be it leopard, cheetah, zebra, or tiger… fierce animals are always in. Nike isn't the only brand cottoning onto everyone's love for the untamed either: the Fila Disruptor Leopard White has an animal trim, Vans' Sk8 Hi Reissue features various different prints and pony hair, while adidas' latest Stan Smith goes reptilian with a snake printed upper.
Nike's latest announcement will no doubt be a sellout. The sportswear brand is adding to its Monarch series, with the release of the M2K Tekno adorned with an exotic mash-up of animal prints.
Featuring leopard, giraffe, and tiger prints in what looks to be a pony hair-textured material, the M2K takes on a slight DIY feel, with oddly-shaped, overlapping patches. Topped off with neon accents in Nike's signature 'Volt' colour, the wild dad trainer could not be more 'now' if it tried!
The silhouette features all the trappings of a Nike M2K Tekno trainer. Oversized in design, the robust midsole provides ultimate comfort and cushioning while giving that all-important 90s ugly shoe aesthetic.
Is this silhouette going to make you unleash your inner wild side? We don't have word on when they're going to be released – but with anything animal print as well as anything dad shoe (especially M2K), we're sure they're going to be an instant sell out. Keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info on when and where you can cop the Nike M2K Tekno Animal Print, as well as all the latest sneaker news!
