After kicking off 2023 with its distinctive Lunar New Year capsule celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, Maharishi has returned with a first preview of what's to come in spring/summer. For SS23, Maharishi journeyed from Vietnam to the Himalayas in search of inspiration and textile motifs, landing upon Northern Thailand as a starting point.
Staying true to its usual form, Maharishi has embraced a variety of the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand's motifs, such as tigers, Sak Yant tattoos and an array of camos and prints. As a result, an array of unique silhouettes have been prepared, each with a distinctive form and style. Included, we see everything from the brand's famed Snopants all the way to long mac coats, jackets and even face scarves.
Naturally, a technical aspect has also been featured in the form of water-repellant Ventile Eco Hemp woven in Switzerland, high-performance Polartec sweats and jerseys, as well as NYCO, Cordura's MIL-SPEC nylon/cotton, which is woven in Japan. For those looking to get their hands on Maharishi SS23, it is currently available on the brand's website as well as at both its New York and London stores. In other fashion news, Jordan Brand x Billie Eilish join forces for yet another selection of stripped-back apparel.
