After securing its place in the UEFA Champions League final and seemingly snatching the Premier League title from Arsenal's hands, Manchester City and kit sponsor PUMA have now readied a brand-new home jersey for the 2023/24 season. Embracing the club's classic sky-blue hue, this latest kit is one to watch for any fans of the surging club.
The kit itself marks the 20th anniversary of the club’s move to the Etihad Stadium. In August 2003, after 80 years at its Maine Road ground, Manchester City made a noteworthy move three and a half miles away to the Etihad Stadium and has called it home ever since. The kit itself features subtle nods to the Etihad ground, with the front inspired by its unique architecture. Tonal shades of blue work in unison to deliver a crisp and fresh aesthetic, elevated by the club's crest, PUMA logo and Etihad Airways sponsor.
The postcode of the club is featured at the base of the neck, and its contrasting white collar mimics that of the shirt the club wore 20 years ago during the time of the move. For those looking to get their hands on the kit, it is currently available via both PUMA and Manchester City's webstore, so don't delay. In related news, Balenciaga x Stade Rennais F.C. is the football and fashion collab we didn't see coming.
