While the AJ1 “Lost and Found” was arguably the release of the year, it doesn’t quite stack up to some of the superstar styles that are about to hit the market at Christie’s. The premium auction house has just unveiled a stacked line-up for its ‘The Greats’ auction, which focuses on a range of rare sneakers, streetwear and collectables.
Taking centre stage is a pair of game-worn and signed Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” 85s, which are expected to hit somewhere between $200,000 - $300,000, especially given the hype around the colourway right now. Sitting alongside them is also a trio of Louis Vuitton x Nike AF1 colourways (you’ll probably remember that they felt like an impossible cop this year), as well as Serena Williams’ Off-White x Nike Court Flare 2s, and a pair of Nike Air MAGs. Other highlights include a Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk, designed by Virgil Abloh, and a Chanel-themed Medicon BE@RBRICK.
If you fancy splashing the cash, the sale is open for bidding between the 29th of November and the 6th of December, so head over to Christie's to find out more.
