Mizuno is making serious moves in the footwear world right now. Hot off the back of dropping its “Noh Men” pack, the Japanese-born brand is set to drop two more colourways of its new-for-2023 Wave Rider Beta silhouette - a model which sent serious ripples through the industry when it arrived in “Bistro Green” and “Insignia Blue” just a couple of weeks ago. Set to arrive in two more ultra-wearable colourways, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming drop.
Founded in 1906 by brothers Rihachi and Rizo, Mizuno has had quite the headstart when it comes to perfecting the balance between performance and design. These two elements hit their peak in the Wave Rider Beta, a shoe that pays tribute to the brand’s classic Wave Rider range and manages to perfectly convey Mizuno’s ideology for the past, present and future of sportstyle.
Combining modern design with tried-and-tested functionality, the Wave Rider Beta sits on top of the sole of Mizuno’s best-selling Wave Rider 26 running shoe - meaning that you’re guaranteed to get a comfy ride. On top, the sneaker is visibly inspired by Wave Rider iterations of the past, and comes crafted from breathable mesh and soft suede. Both pairs are designed to empower the wearer in terms of their confidence, and these colourways in particular are designed to encourage compassion and a softer touch. Arriving in muted hues of "Nimbus Cloud" and "Pristine Coffee", the pairs are set to drop from the 7th of April - so be sure to hit the link below if you’re looking to pick up a pair.
Up next, New Balance's upcoming ALD collab is shaping up to be pretty special.
