New Balance CT302 Sizing: How Do They Fit?

A futuristic take on the classic New Balance CT300 silhouette from the 1980s, the New Balance CT302 is the latest lifestyle sneaker on the block from the Boston-based brand. With an exaggerated look and feel, the New Balance CT302 elevates athleisure looks to new heights, and guarantees a cool, sporty look with every 'fit. Constructed from either tumbled leather or a mixture of suede, canvas and leather, the New Balance CT302 provides a premium feel, despite the lower price-point compared to other New Balance.

So, with it being a new silhouette, you're probably wondering how the New Balance CT302 fits and what the sizing is like. Rest assured, the New Balance CT302 fits true to size, though they do come quite narrow. This being said, there's no need to size up. Just buy the size you usually do when purchasing other New Balance silhouettes.

I bought my true size when purchasing the New Balance CT302. They are a little narrow if you have wide feet like me, but nothing worth sizing up over.

I definitely have more comfortable New Balance pairs in my rotation, but I think that's to be expected when you consider the weight of these shoes. I know that New Balance are notoriously light; this certainly isn't the case with this pair.

They're quite a chunky silhouette, so I pair mine with baggy jeans and a cropped t-shirt. I think that if you were going to wear them with slimmer trousers they would look a bit mismatched. I think that cycling shorts and socks would work well too, though!

I personally have the all-leather ones, so my CT302s are quite easy to clean. I just damp a cloth with some lukewarm soapy water and rub away any dirt or scuffs. They're very similar to the New Balance 550 in that regard. If you opted for an iteration with a canvas or suede upper this would definitely be more difficult. I wouldn't recommend putting them in the washing machine, either. They are very heavy.

It's a tricky one, but I think buying your true size is fine. I don't think there's any need to size up.

So, if you're looking to buy your first pair of New Balance CT302s - there's plenty of brand-new colourways on the way soon that look great - then rest assured that your usual size is the way to go. For example, if you wear a UK5 in a 327, you can opt for a UK5 again. If you have never owned a pair of New Balance, then hopefully you will have owned a pair of Nike Air Max. In this case, pick the same size again.
