New Balance's 574 Goes Full Fashun With Its Next Miu Miu Link-Up

Miu Miu and New Balance took us by surprise when they initially collaborated last year, but in reality, the link-up made perfect sense. Following on from its famed “Supermodels in London and Dads in Ohio” 990 campaign, the Boston-based brand looked to capitalise on its reputation by sending three 574 variations down the runway in collaboration with the Italian label, with each colourway selling out before the pre-orders were even over. Now, the duo is set to drop three more colourways of the It-Girl staple, so let’s take a closer look.

Arriving in a similarly distressed fashion to the pairs that proceeded them, the three new Miu Miu x New Balance 574s arrive in “Fringed Blue”, “Cognac Denim” and “Blanched White Leather”. Much like before, the two denim pairs feature frayed detailing, whereas the leather version takes on the pre-worn look that high fashion brands seem to love and be criticised for in equal measures. Each pair features co-branded tongues and insoles, as well as comfy ENCA cushioning: this is still a New Balance shoe, after all.

That being said, there’s nothing NB about the pairs’ accompanying price tags. Starting at £700, they’re currently available to buy at Miu Miu, but with some sizes already selling out you won’t have much time to start saving up for a pair.
