We don’t know about you, but life’s feeling a little busy again. Our iCal is slowly filling with evening and weekend plans, so staying on top of all the latest fashion and sneaker news is getting pretty tricky! That’s why we’ve rounded up everything you might have missed from the last week. From a new Virgil x Nike collab to everything kicking off over in the Yeezy camp, here’s what you need to know now.
A Brand-New Dunk Silhouette is Set to Land The year of the Nike Dunk is in full swing, and the Swoosh brand are set to launch a more earth conscious iteration of the world’s fave sneaker. Dubbed the Nike Dunk ‘Scrap’ , this version of the Nike Dunk is pieced together with leftover fabrics – from breathable mesh to premium leather – creating a ‘patchwork’ style that’ll definitely turn heads.
A bang-on-trend ‘Seaglass’ colourway has been teased with a gum outsole that ties the whole look together. No release date has been announced yet, but we reckon this Dunk will land before the end of the year.
Kanye West has Sued Walmart Regarding Fake Foam Runners America’s Walmart tried to pull an Aldi and create their own version of the Yeezy Foam Runner. The supermarket chain produced some very convincing Yeezy dupes and sold them for a fraction of the price, so Kanye West’s team have sent a legal warning requesting they remove the shoes. Walmart ignored the request. The brand released a statement reading: “The product reference in the complaint is not sold by Walmart, but rather by third party marketplace sellers. We take allegations like this seriously and are reviewing the claim We will respond in court as appropriate after we have been served with the complaint.”
The real question is will Kim be the lawyer?
A Travis Scott x Dior Collab is on the Way Another high-heat collab is on the way from Texas-born rapper Travis Scott. This time, Scott is opting for a luxury brand and developing a collab with Dior and he debuted a pair on the runway in Paris. Notably more pared-back than his Nike collabs, this Travis Scott x Dior partnership is set to birth a sneaker that’s chunky, crafted from premium materials and features a hybrid brand logo on the heel.
Rumoured to be landing in three colourways, no launch date for the Travis Scott x Dior collab has been announced yet so keep it locked into The Sole Supplier to be the first to know more about this launch.
Virgil Abloh is Working on a Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 The power of the Nike Air Force 1 never fails to impress us. Arguably Nike’s most iconic silhouette, this sneaker has been host to several collaborations over the years – from Travis Scott to Supreme – and now, premium brand Louis Vuitton is getting in on the action. With Virgil Abloh at the helm, the French brand is set to release an array of LV x Nike AF-1s and rumour has it there’s over 21 colourways launching.
From what we can see so far, the collaborative AF1 dons the iconic LV monogram on the Swoosh, heel and toe panels, while Off-White lettings features on the lace and midsole. Set to be an absolute must-cop, stay tuned to be the first to know more about when this must-have sneaker launches.
