NIGO's latest interpretation of the Nike Air Force 3 Low introduces two new colourways, emphasising textured materials, a luxurious aesthetic, and inspiration from hip hop's golden age. These releases present a departure from the standard AF3 design.
First, we saw the all white, but now we're also getting a black version. Both shoes ditch the smooth leather we're used to and go all in on croc skin and snakeskin textured leathers. This instantly elevates the shoe, giving it a premium feel. And check this out: the white version rocks gold accents, while the black one goes for silver, a smart switch that gives each shoe its distinct personality. That spinning record detail on the heel? All these are clear signals of how NIGO is drawing inspiration from the 80s hip hop scene.
To match the sneakers' hip hop aesthetic, NIGO released a campaign video that feels like an 80s radio show. It features Slick Rick, Lil Yachty, and even NIGO himself in puppet form. It's a fun, creative way to showcase the shoes and their inspiration. If you remember NIGO's previous Nike drops like the "Baroque Brown Pecan" from last year, you'll know he likes to put his own spin on things. And with this "Croc" Pack, he's not holding back.
The all white version is a masterclass in how to use texture to create a statement. The croc skin does all the talking, while the gold tongue branding and those bedazzled gold Nike chains add a touch of bling. It's a high end take on the AF3 that feels both luxurious and wearable. The black version has that same DNA, but the silver accents and chain give it a slightly different edge.
This "Croc" Pack is NIGO's third Air Force 3 collection for Nike. He previously dropped a multi colour version and two natural tone variants inspired by "Planet of the Apes." It's clear he has a vision for this silhouette, and he's not afraid to experiment with different materials and themes.
The NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 “Croc” Pack is set to drop on 24th April via the SNKRS app and select retailers for around £150. Smash the bell icon and we'll let you know as soon as these drop.
