Nike's Swoosh is arguably one of the most iconic logos in the world. Created back in 1971 by Carolyn Davidson for a mere $35, the brand is now worth almost $40 billion. To celebrate this, Nike has unleashed three new sneaker collections that are inspired by the evolution of the Swoosh, reworking four legendary silhouettes along the way.
To kick it all off, the 'Script Swoosh Pack', which can be seen above, pays homage to Davidson's initial concepts for the logo, complete with guidelines as well as the classic "Nike"; logo before the bold Futura one was put in place. Reworking the Air Force 1, the Air Max 97, the Air Max Plus, and of course, the React Element 55, this is as clean as it gets.
Moving on, the 'Swoosh Chain Pack' is painted in a '70s inspired palette of blue, orange, and white, and, as its name states, it features a series of interlinking Swoosh logos that come together to form a chain-like pattern. If you're a big fan of this, unfortunately it'll only drop in kids sizing, but that won't stop anyone from trying to squeeze into a pair!
Last but not least, the 'Swoosh Sunburst Pack' pays tribute to the OG Sunburst logo that made its debut in 1972. Literally eight Swooshes that come together to create a circular design, this was originally used on Nike's tracksuits and apparel offerings. Hands down the most unique of the three ranges, this will rework the same four silhouettes as the first collection.
Now, for those all-important release dates. The Nike 'Script Swoosh Pack', 'Swoosh Chain Pack', and 'Swoosh Sunburst Pack' will release on August 10th, August 17th, and August 31st respectively over at Nike UK as well as select stockists. Let us know which collection interests you the most, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more release info as it develops!
