After launching in November of last year, Nike 's .SWOOSH platform has managed to garner an impressive 330,000 members and is now launching its first digital-creation collection. Co-curated by the .SWOOSH community, this initial collection will pay homage to the iconic Air Force 1 silhouette through a range of virtual renditions.
The collection, named Our Force 1 (OF1), itself is based around two digital “boxes,” with each containing a digital version of a revered Air Force 1 silhouette. Both the Classic Remix box and the New Wave box are priced at $19.82 USD, and upon opening, members can discover which Our Force One shoe it contains and learn of its unique features.
Unique features will include the ability to unlock access to physical product drops, entry into .SWOOSH experiences, a mint pass for virtual product drops, and the ability to flex your virtual in certain video games.
According to the brand, "Nike has built multiple entry points to purchase an OF1 box. On April 18th, Nike will begin airdropping AF1 posters — the unlock to buying an OF1 box — on SWOOSH.NIKE to randomly selected .SWOOSH members; on May 8th, this group will be given first access to the OF1 sale.
