The OG Nike Air Max Plus "Hyper Blue" Is Set To Drop This Month

It’s been over five years since we saw the “Hyper Blue” TN retro in 2018, with those pairs now certified beaters or still deadstock; owners too afraid to change their pristine status. Ask any fan of the TN Air Max Plus and they’ll tell you the “Hyper Blue” is among the top three TNs ever to release, its status cemented among the sneakerhead world. The colourway was released alongside the “Tiger” edition, debuting in 1998 as a way to showcase Sean McDowell’s newly designed Air Max silhouette. The gradient blue-to-white finish on the upper combined with the TPU welded lines is Nike heritage, still perfect over 25 years later.

Nike has certainly stepped up its TN catalogue in the past couple years, even releasing the elusive Toggle edition that was previewed by Drake a few years ago. However, even with a flood of exciting new colourways and updates, news of this iconic retro is sure to have eclipsed other releases on every sneakerhead’s wish list.
