Nike has announced that it will be taking design cues from the 2000s with the release of the P-3000 and P-6000 CNPTs later in 2019. The release builds on the design of the Air Pegasus 2007+; The Nike Air Pegasus is a model whose design has been reworked nearly every year since 1983 and this rendition in the form of the Nike P-3000 builds on the futuristic, structured design.
First looks show a reworked upper sole with prominent vertical overlays and a breathable mesh textile upper – with the classic swoosh to the sidewalls.
This all sits on a bouncy rubber RIDELINER midsole and a hard traction-focussed rubber outsole, making it a great sports performance shoe.
While the chunky 90s design aesthetic is en vogue – as seen in the Adidas Falcon shoes and Fila Disruptor models, Nike is taking a retro futuristic approach to the P-3000 and P-6000 CNPTs.
The shoes are a departure from what's trending at the moment and show a fresh, exciting direction for the brand this year.
While we don't have an official release date on these yet, stay tuned to The Sole Supplier for updates of when and where you can get your hands on a pair.
