After launching its first .SWOOSH virtual collection last month, Nike is making moves to offer further digital experiences. Today, Nike Virtual Studios and EA SPORTS have announced a new partnership, pairing two of the biggest names in sports and entertainment together. The initiative will deliver new ways for the .SWOOSH community to express themselves and personalise styles in EA SPORTS games.
As the publisher of titles such as FIFA, Madden NFL, NFL, UFC and more, EA SPORTS is arguably the biggest developer when it comes to sporting games. This latest partnership will build on the immersive experiences created in these games and allow selected Nike .SWOOSH creations to be worn and displayed in the titles.
Ron Faris, GM of Nike Virtual Studios spoke on the partnership, noting, "Nike and EA SPORTS share a commitment to innovation, creativity, and excellence, and we are thrilled to partner with them," and that "This partnership will allow us to unlock some incredible new experiences for our .SWOOSH community and the massive EA SPORTS fan base."
The Nike .SWOOSH platform is still in a closed beta to create an impartial and secure space, but you can still register to become a member at welcome.swoosh.nike. In other news, Nike announces leadership shuffle in a quest for innovation.
