Nike has been killing it this year. With fire release dropping after fire release, the Swoosh has now announced that they will be focusing a lot more on "moderately priced"; sneakers in 2019. This news comes shortly after the company reported it beat its second-quarter expectations with a 10% increase in sales, all thanks to its increased digital presence.
While it's not exactly clear what "moderately priced"; really means, Nike has already been implementing this strategy this year. Take, for example, the React Element 87. When it released during the summer, it was swiftly followed by the cheaper React Element 55, which is pretty fire in its own right.
Additionally, Nike has also revealed plans to launch a men's yoga clothing line, and the integration of RFID chips that will help shoe collectors with cataloging their collection.
