Nike's Sun Club Theme Continues With a New Air Force 1

It’s heating up out there isn’t? And by ‘there’ we mean the sneakersphere. With so many summer-ready kicks to look forward to, we’re going to have a hard time cutting down our must-cop list. The latest pair to catch our eye is Nike’s latest edition to their special-edition “Sun Club” pack, the Nike Air Force 1 Sun Club “Arctic Orange.”

Constructed from recycled materials and coming in a vibrant coral hue, the “Arctic Orange” Sun Club AF1 is the perfect summer sneaker. The base is made up of a mixture of canvas and burlap, that has all been dyed in the “Arctic Orange” shade. The burlap texture can be spotted on the sidewalls and toe box, whilst the canvas dresses the quarters and eye stays. These eye stays come with a double-layered construction, which masks the lacing unit to give the AF1 Sun Club an ultra-clean look.

To contrast with the peachy shade, the “Arctic Orange” AF1 Sun Club sees the classic Nike Swoosh get the bright white treatment. The logo sweeps across the side of the sneaker to meet the matching white heel tab, which forgoes the usual Nike branding for a more minimal vibe. Instead, Nike Sun Club branding takes over on the tongue tabs, whilst the Volt-coloured insoles boast Nike’s Move to Zero Pinwheel logo to shout out the sustainability factor. The AF-1 Sun Club “Artic Orange” comes topped with a white AF1 Grind Rubber outsole, and bamboo lace tips complete the design.
