Following on from the release of its latest Caravaggio pieces, Off-White has now teamed up with Vogue and The MET for a specially made clothing and accessories capsule. A handful of unique American designers are set to collaborate with Virgil Abloh taking the first spot.
The collection aims to celebrate The Costume Institute's 2021 exhibition, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion," and will feature both virtual shopping experiences among other capsule collections. The full lineup of designers will include Virgil Abloh of Off-White, Emily Bode of Bode, Aurora James of Brother Vellies, Christopher John Rogers, Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada, Rio Uribe of Gypsy Sport, Prabal Gurung, and Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss.
The small offering of products will include a pullover hoodie and T-Shirt, both of which have been given a paint speckled appearance. On the centre of the chest, each item will feature a collaborative Metropolitan Museum of Art x Off-White spell out. In true Virgil fashion, the font will arrive in all caps. Elsewhere a white cap and a handbag will feature the same branding.
Previews of the items can now be seen on @themetstore 's IG store, with their release happening on the 9th of September. In other news, here's a first look at the Prada x adidas Forum Lo White.
