While the Air Jordan 1 “Rebellionaire” was first previewed back in October 2020, it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything regarding the upcoming pair, however we’ve now got our hands on official images courtesy of Nike, implying that a release is now imminent. Showcasing a colour scheme very similar to the classic AJ1 OG “Shadow”, the sneakers are decked out with a few limited-edition details too.
The sentence “They Can’t Stop You From Wearing Them” is emblazoned all over the uppers, referencing an iconic line from a Michael Jordan commercial in 1985 that touches on how the sneakers were originally banned by the NBA. Alongside this, a red X logo is placed on the heel of each shoe, once again referencing the “banned” storyline.
Classic branding comes in the form of Nike Swoosh logos on both sides, the wings logo on the collar and Nike Air tags on each tongue. Plenty of padding is located around the ankles and this all sits on top of whited-out midsole that contains full-length Nike Air cushioning, making sure that these are comfortable enough for all day wear.
If you’re looking to get your hands on this pair of AJ1s, then the good news is that they’re set for a 12th March release, although be aware that this could be subject to change. In the meantime keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier and check out the Air Jordan 1 “Reimagined Chicago” that’s set to drop later this year!
