After we saw a first look back in December last year, official images of the upcoming Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low have now been unveiled! The sneaker itself has been designed by Japanese streetwear icon Verdy, who is also famed for his Girls Don’t Cry brand. The pair take on a gothic look that’s sure to go down a hit with sneakerheads and are also lined up for a release pretty soon!
It’s not the first time Verdy has worked with Nike’s skateboarding line, in fact back in 2019 he actually worked on another SB Dunk Low with Girls Dont Cry that will now set any potential owners back a pretty penny on the resell market!
Crafted from an array of different fabrics and showcasing a patchwork-style design, the uppers are decked out primarily in black, with hits of white and red creating the effortless yet striking colourway. On the medial side the Swoosh logo is adorned with rose embroidery for a one-of-a-kind look, while the tongue tabs are branded with “Wasted” and “Youth” respectively for a twist on the usual Nike SB branding.
The heel tabs are even more interestingly branded, with an embroidered Wasted Youth typeface logo and silver-tone metal rings hanging from each sneaker, once again playing on the gothic theme! The look is completed with a white rubber midsole unit that runs the full-length of the sneakers, along with combined Air and Zoom cushioning to make these a comfortable everyday staple.
If you’re as keen as we are on the Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low, the good news is that the pair is set to arrive at select retailers across the globe from the 6th April, although this is subject to any possible delays. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest news and updates in the footwear world and while you’re here check out the Nike Air Max 95 “Kiss My Airs”!
