The Air Jordan 1 is arguably one of the most famous sneakers of all time, having helped set the standard for basketball shoes to come as well as becoming a pop culture staple. Amongst the first few Jordan 1 colourways launched in 1985 was a simplistic black and white colour blocked version, which has become a sought-after colourway for collectors ever since. Now, these AJ1s will be arriving soon to nod to the OG shape and colourway, in the form of the Air Jordan 1 High 85 “Black White.”
The “Black/White” Jordan 1 High 85 is set to stay true to the OG Air Jordan 1 by taking on the same colour blocking and high-cut shape. A white base and black overlays create a super-clean look, and this comes with a matching black and white sole unit underneath. Elsewhere, a nylon tongue adds a comfortable touch, and Nike and Jordan branding hit the tongue tab and ankle flaps respectively.
The “Black/White” or “Panda” colourway is hot property for Nike right now, having found favour on another basketball silhouette, the Dunk in recent times, and the AJ1 “Black White” has already seen a couple of re-releases over the years, the last dropping in 2014 -m a long time before the 'Pandamonium' really kicked off.
The “Black/White” Air Jordan 1 85 is set to land on the 15th of February, so be sure to hit those release reminders if you're looking to try and pick up a pair!
