Travis Scott is undoubtedly the hype-man of the moment. His recent three-way collaboration with Jordan Brand and fragment design was easily the most-hyped release of the year and it seems like everything he touches turns to gold. We recently saw the Houston-based rapper rocking an unreleased pair of Air Max 1s which are believed to be an unreleased collaboration set to launch soon and now we’ve got a closer look.
Decked out in an autumnal-themed colourway, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Wheat” is reminiscent of flax colourways of the past and is also rumoured to release in the coming months. Many OG Air Max fans aren’t too happy that Travis has worked on Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 classic, as some say that the model is too good to be tampered with. Whatever people may think of these, we’ve got no doubts they’ll be a hit anyway.
The pair look set to be crafted from supple suede across the uppers for a premium and comfortable look, while Travis’ signature backwards Swoosh is the centre of attention on both the lateral and medial sides. Mesh panels break up the look while an unique heel-fastening feature is attached to the laces to give these more of a utility-theme, something that Scott has shown across previous collaborations.
Beneath the feet the midsole is decked out in a matching hue with a Nike Air Max unit located under the heel for plenty of comfort. If you’re looking to cop the upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Wheat”, then make sure to keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier, because as soon as release details are unveiled we’ll be the first to let you know. In the meantime, check out Off-White’s latest Nike collaboration!
