The Wavy Textured Nike Dunk Low "Ocean" Is Dropping Soon

It’s fair to say that the recent cold weather and rain have us dreaming of sandy shores and beautiful beaches, and Nike seem to have got the memo with their latest Dunk Low. Inspired by the deep, blue sea, the Nike Dunk Low “Ocean” has been given a new textured treatment in line with the theme, so let’s take a closer look at the sneakers.

The “Ocean” Nike Dunk Low starts off with a premium white leather base, which anchors the rough-textured blue overlays that spill over the uppers of the shoe, mimicking rolling waves. The textures make this colour look multi-dimensional, although the main sea blue shade also appears on the laces and liners.

The “Ocean” theme continues on the tongue tabs, which come dressed in a refracted blue pattern underneath the Nike branding hit, and mesh tongues call out to beachy-themes and fishing nets. Below, a white midsole comes topped with a marled blue rubber outsole, completing the “Ocean” Dunk’s colourway.

After seeing the silhouette take on a new lease of life in 2021, the Dunk has gone from strength to strength, so much so that we’re starting to see the silhouette included in wider packs and themed editions. It’s possible that there is more of a story or theme behind the “Ocean” Nike Dunk Low, and there could even be more styles coming to sit alongside it.
