If we’re talking iconic sneakers, a classic pair of black and white Converse have got to be up there with some of the best. Minimal, timeless and a real rotation must-have, the beauty of the Chuck 70 is in its subtly, which is why this collab with streetwear brand, Stüssy works so well. The Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 High “Black White” opts for a super-clean take on the pair, so here’s what to expect from the collab.
Having recently revealed a collaborative Nike Air Force 1 Mid in black and white, Stüssy seem to have decided to stick with the same tones for their Converse collaboration, too. And although this pair look plain, a closer peek reveals a very different story.
Firstly, the Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 High’s base layer is set to swap the shoe’s usual tightly woven canvas for more of a flax-like build, with the intention of making this pair airier and more comfortable to wear within the summer months. The medial Converse One Star logos have also received a twist, having been flipped inside out so that the outside of the sneaker just shows the badge’s stitching, which allows Stüssy star logos to stand out on the lateral walls.
As well as this, the Stüssy Chuck 70 High sports Stüssy logos on the heel tabs, as well as on the inside of the tongues. The outside of these comes branded with a co-branded banner. Underfoot, the Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 has been left with its usual signature sole, which comes in crisp white.
As of yet, there’s no release date for the collaborative “Black White” Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 High, but be sure to hit the links to set your release reminders, and keep it locked to stay up to date with all the latest sneaker news.
