Believe it or not, the partnership between Pharrell Williams x adidas has been going on for just over seven years now. Starting all the way back in 2014 with the Stan Smith "Tennis" Collection, he has since dropped hit after hit after hit. Now as we begin to enter the middle of 2021, Skateboard P has taken to his official Instagram account to tease a never-before-seen silhouette, and we have a lot of questions.
Seen here in a bold green hue, there's no doubt that this mysterious trainer bears a striking resemblance to the Yeezy Boost 380. With a sock-like Primeknit design and an integrated lacing system, the only think here that sets it apart from Kanye West's release is the extended collar that rises up the ankle for additional support.
Down below, you'll find a bulbous midsole that looks like it's been infused with Boost technology. This particular unit seems to pay homage to the one found on the Yeezy 450, so we wouldn't be too surprised if it wasn't infused with EVA foam. To round it all off, an adidas-branded tag is stitched onto the tongue, while "Human Race" text is printed across the lateral sidewall, finalising the design.
Not much else is known about this Pharrell Williams x adidas Human Race shoe for now, but rumour has it that it will come in a rainbow of colourways. Let us know what you think of this collaboration, and in related news, the Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu "Aqua Blue" is arriving in a tonal outfit!
