Whether you like it or not, the chunky dad shoe trend is here to stay. Inspired equally by both the past and the future, the hype for these dad shoes have reach new heights, both in a literal and figurative sense.
According to global fashion search platform Lyst, more than three million shoppers search for sneakers every month, so in an effort to grasp the complex construction of these coveted shoes, Lyst collaborated with experimental artist Hugh Turvey for the series "Behind the Seams: Sneakers".
Known for his X-ray photography, the British artist fuses light with x-ray imagery to create what he calls "xograms."; The result is a visually-intriguing series that explores the most-searched for sneakers and includes metrics such as weight per shoe, sole height, as well as the number of hashtagged posts on Instagram.
From the Balenciaga Triple S to the adidas Yeezy 500, let us know what you think of this project down in the comments section below, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for the latest and greatest in sneakers!
