PlayStation and Reebok are linking up to drop one of the hardest sneaker collabs of the year. Celebrating 30 years since the original PlayStation console changed the game, the two brands have teamed up for a three-piece collection that blends nostalgic ‘90s design with cult Reebok silhouettes. While this isn’t PlayStation first sneaker collab - and we know you’re all patiently waiting for the PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 to make a return - this latest release is definitely one to have on your radar.
Be warned though, getting your hands on this collab is going to be harder than you think. Each shoe will be released exclusively through a region exclusive retailer. If you want to find how to get your hands on a pair, or even the full collection, we’ve got you covered.
Let’s kick things off with the Workout Plus. This is set to be the UK exclusive release and will land at British retailer END. Clean, retro and low-key underrated, this one pays homage to both gaming culture and Reebok heritage. It comes packed with two sets of laces, a removable lacelock cable detail, and grey anniversary sockliners that nod to the OG PlayStation colour palette.
Due to the popularity of this release, it is set to be sold via raffle for a retail price of £145, with entries opening 15th October.
Next up, the Pump Omni Zone II dials things all the way back to basketball’s golden era. It features a custom pump ball in PlayStation colours, dual laces with metal tips, and plenty of retro cues that feel more arcade cabinet than esports rig. Whether you’re shooting hoops or grinding through a campaign, this pair does both.
Set to drop exclusively at CNCPTS from October 17th, this pair may be tricky to get your hands on if you live outside the US.
Saving the boldest for last, the Instapump Fury 94 is a deep dive into Sony’s origins. Inspired by the 1994 Japan launch of the first PlayStation, this pair features a "Press Play" pump ball, a memory card-shaped tongue design and a few clever hidden details that only true fans will clock. A proper celebration of past meets present.
Sorry UK sneakerheads, this Japan exclusive will be dropping via Beams from 24th October.
If you want to get your hands on the full collection, here is the good news. There is a limited edition stacking box that includes all three silhouettes in one collector’s bundle. Each box is individually numbered and expected to land in seriously low quantities through selected retail partners. Details are still under wraps, but we can assume that in the UK this collection pack will be dropping at END. soon after the full collection is released and for a price of over £500.
For sneakerheads who spent their youth playing Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot or Metal Gear Solid, this collab is a must-cop. Make sure you set your notifications so you don’t miss the latest news on these releases and keep locked into The Sole Supplier for all things sneakers and streetwear.
