After arriving at the top of the Lyst Index in Q4 of 2022, it seems Prada's reign as "World's Hottest Brand" isn't as short lived as some might have originally imagined. The Italian luxury label has now managed to cement itself at the top for the second quarter running while some interesting changes happen elsewhere in the top 10.
During the first quarter of the year, Prada managed to accomplish some impressive milestones. The brand announced a total of €3.252 million in retail sales in the prior year, unveiled the 2023 Prada Frames symposium in Hong Kong and presented its FW23 men's runway show in Milan. These things together, with an ongoing social media presence, have landed Prada at the coveted top spot.
Arriving in second place in somewhat of a surprising manner is Miu Miu, the sister brand to Prada. The brand reported a whopping €432 million in retail sales in 2022, tapped Kendal Jenner for a campaign and even launched a second collaboration with New Balance. The remainder of the top ten is much more of what we can expect to see with brands such as Moncler, Valentino and Gucci taking top spots.
