Just this morning we showcased the freshly-unveiled Nike Dunk High “First Use/University Red” and now the latest pair from the collection has just been unveiled, this time around it’s none other than the Nike Air Force 1. Decked out in a very clean “Light Stone” colourway, these are an AF1 that will have a permanent place in your rotation without a doubt. The silhouette itself is an all-time classic, with this release honouring the heritage of Nike’s Swoosh logo.
The logo was conceived back in 1971 by graphic design student Carolyn Davison, who at the time was paid just $30 for the design. After Nike took off, Davison was eventually paid $1 Million dollars and offered a full-time job at the brand. The Swoosh logo has since become a mainstay for Nike and is instantly recognisable across the world, featuring on nearly all of the label’s most successful sneakers.
This AF1 is crafted from a whole range of premium fabrics including suede, leather and mesh, with the colour-blocking sitting perfectly on the silhouette that was designed by Bruce Kilgore back in 1982. The Swoosh logo is featured in a sketch-style on both the lateral and medial sides, accompanied with “First Use” text. Additional touches include vintage branding on the heels and tongues and gold-tone metal Swoosh lace dubraes.
Beneath the feet a full-length Nike Air unit sits within the whited-out midsole for all the comfort and support one could need. If you’re as excited as we are over the Nike Air Force 1 “First Use” and the rest of the pack, then keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for more information. Rumoured release date is the 18th June, although this is yet to be confirmed by Nike. While you’re here be sure to check out the Nike Dunk Low “Soft Grey” that’s on the way soon!
