Jasmine Lasode's London Summer Of Love Nike Air Max 97 is bright, bold and statement worthy. One of the six winners of 2018's 'On Air' competition by Nike, this design is definitely going in our baskets for summer.
Nike revealed Cash Ru's winning Air Max 97 design for the 'On Air' competition last week; his blue wavy Y2K aesthetic for the “Shanghai Kaleidoscope” AM97 is conceptual and striking – and Lasode has levelled up with this next silhouette.
The 97's wavy constructed upper showcases vibrant colours, including fluorescent green and yellow, purple, blue, green, and orange – sitting on a base of white mesh. A layer of branded taping makes its way around the trainer, with '97P' repeated in small black type, while the multicoloured heel pull tag says 'Good Chat'. There's more text detailing on the insole, with each foot covered in 'Open' and 'Close' on each foot – a nod to London's corner shops and offies.
Underfoot, of course we have the full length Air Max Sole unit – they wouldn't be 97s without one! This time, there's a white foam and transparent air bubble – what's really special is the inner construction of the air bubble, which takes a gradient colourway moving from red to yellow, with the Air bubbles at the rear appearing completely red.
The trainer is topped off with neon yellow rope laces and a special Air Max 24/7 tongue label which is purple and blue with yellow outlined lettering. This pair – along with the others from the On Air collection will release on the 13th of April. Make sure you keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for updates on when these drop, and check out the latest Nike Air Max 97s to get you in the mood for summer.
